Matching numbers rare L version SWB One of less than 1200 Porsche 911 L coupes produced. The 911L was effectively the 911 20 from previous years with only very minor updates such as new door handles a brushed aluminum dashboard a black steering wheel and other very minor details. In Europe where it was considered the midrange model between the new entry-level 1968 911T and the 1968 911S it featured engine Type 90106 Type 90107 with Sportomatic rated at 130 hp.
This version was only offered in 1968 the last year of the original short wheelbase SWB and is therefore particularly interesting for collectors.
US models were fitted with air-pumps to help comply with emissions regulations put crudely these pumped fresh air into the exhaust gases to dilute them. Including of course the 911 Cabriolet and Targa models. The 911 L was limited to just 499 examples built in 1968 especially for the American market.
